Qualified Settlement Funds (QSFs) can significantly reduce pressure on plaintiffs at settlement. Often, they offer defendants the opportunity to “pay and walk away” while preserving many financial and tax strategies that plaintiffs would otherwise have to consider and select while simultaneously negotiating with the defense. We’ll discuss how trial lawyers can leverage QSFs to better protect clients and avoid rushed decisions.
