Dan and Kimball will demonstrate a cross-examination of the defense medical expert, using it as a vehicle to teach the core skills of cross-examination.
- Looping
- Using the present tense/visualizing
- Dropping or delaying the taglines, “right, correct, true? ” etc
- Dropping filler words, “and, um, ok, etc.”
- Effectively using a flip chart to teach
- Emotional state control
- Pacing, slowing down voice
Dan and Kimball will then demonstrate how to apply these skills to every cross, both in deposition and trial.
